The leather used at Organic Handloom is made from raw hides that are a by-product of meat production. Used leather sourced from tanners in Japan that use natural vegetable tanning and leather manufacturing processes that put as little strain on the environment as possible, and that are environmentally friendly and have strict manufacturing management.
Oil leather:
This leather is made by a long-established leather wholesaler with 100 years of history, and is made entirely in Japan, from the raw hides to the processing. It is oiled until it is saturated, giving it a moist feel. It ages beautifully over time.
